Where do I start? My real estate career actually started years ago when I was 22. I worked in Red Deer for 4 yrs and shortly after moved on to a different brokerage in Edmonton. I quickly realized selling real estate in the big city was too dog eat dog and wasn’t a good fit for me. Fast forward a few years. I moved back to my hometown Athabasca, met my sweetheart, had a baby and thought after our kids were a bit older I would get back out into the working world. I wanted to check out real estate again. At the time I called around the local offices to see if any Realtors were in need of an unlicensed Assistant. To my surprise, Shahira Bury called me back and set up an interview. Sitting at that interview was a full circle moment for me. You see, when I was in high school I worked the front desk on Saturdays at the office Shahira worked for. I always had looked up to her and wanted to sell real estate partly because of her. Being back in Athabasca for a while I had seen the business she had built over the years and was excited for the chance to be a part of it. The interview went great and I got started right away. A year later Shahira convinced me I needed to get my real estate license again and start selling with her. I initially was a bit nervous, as my first experience selling real estate wasn’t a really positive one. But I took the leap of faith and have never, ever looked back. I enjoy my chosen career immensely and am so grateful to Shahira for helping me to get back to where I am meant to be. I sincerely love what I do!
